In January (2021) I was fortunate enough to be one of the speakers featured at this years edition of Nonprofit Dreamin. Overall, Nonprofit Dreamin was an amazing event ... in fact I'd say that it's the best Salesforce-focused conference that I've attended to date. Don't worry, I'm not being biased and saying that just because I as a speaker at it. The reason I say it's the best conference I've been to so far, is because of the fact that it was a great experience to be involved in it as an attendee, and it was a conference for those in the ecosystem that I would resemble in role and function the most ... essentially, it was an event for me and people like me ... Salesforce professionals in the Nonprofit sector.

Developer Orgs are one of the best things that Salesforce provides for free to their users. With a Salesforce Developer Org, users can create and test solutions, they can do pretty much everything that you can in your standard org. Plus you can install packages like NPSP into a Developer org to try it out. Developer Orgs can be really helpful as you can go beyond your learning in Trailhead and get hands-on experience with administrating and developing a Salesforce org. It's one of the things I recommend to people regularly.
Nonprofit Dreamin is coming up very soon. In fact it's happening this coming Thursday and Friday. So now that the conference is upon us, I wanted to post a quick post to share what I'm looking forward to seeing at the event. All of the sessions can be seen via the conference's schedule page, and there's still a bit of time left to sign up for this great event that's happening.
There's a number of different things going on, there's a lot of great sessions along with many other things. So let's begin by talking about why I think this is a great conference.
Welcome to my new blog all about Salesforce. Allow me to introduce this new blog by telling you a little bit about what I hope to achieve with it, a little bit about who I am and my journey in the Salesforce ecosystem.
How it All Began ...
So I'm a Salesforce Admin, initially my journey began in 2016 when I was interviewed for a job with a charity in the Gateshead area. During the course of the interview the Chief Executive asked me if I had seen the Salesforce platform at all. I had seen the platform at that point, but I had not used it at all. So I answered the question honestly and said yes.
